In order to strengthen students’ laboratory safety awareness and prevent various hidden safety hazards, the planetary science research group organized relevant undergraduate and graduate students to carry out laboratory safety education and training at 215, North Building of Wentian Building at 19:00 on October 25th.
First of all, teacher Yuheng Ni introduced the various safety rules and regulations of the 212 laboratory to the participants, asking students to raise their awareness, strengthen the awareness of safety risk prevention and control, and increase the intensity and frequency of inspections, eliminate hidden dangers, and prevent various safety accidents. Implement the rectification work of potential safety hazards in accordance with school requirements. Teacher Yuheng Ni also explained to the participants on the management of hazardous chemicals and fire safety. Finally, Teacher Zongcheng Ling made a summary from the laboratory safety accident cases and safety common sense. In the on-site communication part, graduate student Xiaobin Qi explained the correct use of various experimental equipment and the special safety measures and safety knowledge of the laboratory.
Through this safety training, the basic knowledge and skills of experimental operation and safety of students participating in various planetary science experiments have been further improved. Graduate students and undergraduate students participating in the conference have expressed great benefits.
