sample preparation：    

•Solid samples - rock chip (less than 1 kg, less than 10 cm height), soils 
 or powders, single gains, films, etc, with no sample preparations
•Thin sections - no epoxy (super-glue is better) with the cover slide and 
 surface carbon coating removed (if any)
•Liquid samples – in glass bottle, glass capillary, liquid cell, or in petri dish.
