The course of “Planetary Remote Sensing and Spectroscopy” for the students majored in Astronomy and Space Science are taught by Dr. Edward A. Guinness, Prof. Lin Li from Indiana University- Purdue University on July 6~24, which was designed and organized by Prof. The course was mainly about the basic knowledge and the application of planetary spectroscopy in orbital remote sensing of Moon and Mars.
Three experts have made remarkable work in planetary science. Dr. Edward A. Guinness is a senior researcher on NASA Planetary Data System (PDS). Dr. Wang is involved in NASA Opportunity mission and her research interest is Planetary Spectroscopy. Dr. Lin Li works in remote sensing for the Moon and the Earth.
