Unfortunately, due to the unsuccessful launch of Fobos-Grunt by Russica, Yinghuo-1 is lost Yinghuo-1 and Fobos-Grunt underwent destructive re-entry on 15 January 2012, finally disintegrating over the Pacific Ocean.
